The Eras tour may be over, but the era of Taylor Swift dominating the cultural airwaves is as alive as ever. 2025 brings a new year for the pop megastar to conquer but the fanfare around her is showing few signs of slowing down, with demand for tickets still incredibly high across America and beyond

At least that’s what we found when conducting research into demand for Taylor tickets across all 50 US states. This research was completed by using the Google Keyword technology which allows users to enter search terms such as ‘Taylor Swift Tour’ before calculating search volume for various different locations.

To get a fair representation of just how much love is out there for Taylor in each state, we totted up search volume for tickets and divided by state population to reveal the per capita demand. A bit of multiplication later, and we were able to attribute a total score for each state (It’s easier than it sounds!).

In the end, Washington came out on top as the Swiftiest of them all, but some surprise packages like Vermont and Oregon weren’t so far behind!

The U.S. States Most Eager for a Taylor Swift Tour

Washington registered a whopping 8820 searches for the key term “Taylor Swift Tickets” which helped make it the clear winner at the top of the list. Even for a state with a population of 7.958,180 that is a huge number and their affection for the ‘Love Story’ sensation showed when the full per capita score was calculated.

Vermont mightn’t boast anything like Washington’s population but when it comes to Taylor Swift, there’s few places with as much love. “Taylor Swift tour” was searched 300 times in the state, “Taylor Swift tickets” was searched a further 350 times and “Taylor Swift concert near me” was searched twenty times between December and February. Not bad going for a state with a population of just 647,818.

Oregon was next on the list, with the state’s 2720 searches for the “Taylor Swift Tickets” term playing a big role in assuring its top three ranking. Missouri, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs and therefore Swift’s partner Travis Kelce, was fourth in the rankings with a score of 9.815 per capita, while Massachusetts completed the top five with a Swifty score of 9.697.

Kansas, New Hampshire, Colorado, Connecticut and Rhode Island made up the rest of the top ten in the US. 

Canadian cities most excited for a Taylor Swift tour

Meanwhile in Canada, Vancouver was the runaway winner in terms of Taylor Swift-related search terms. That was largely because one of Taylor’s final shows of the Eras tour took place in December 2024, a key month in our data collection sample.

Calgary came in at second with 480 searches for “Taylor Swift Tour”, 410 searches for “Taylor Swift tickets” and twenty searches for “Taylor Swift Concert Near Me” amounting to a Tour Serach Interest score of 14.62.

Winnipeg, a city with a population of 783,096, came in at third in the Canadian list with a score of 6.895, while Ottawa and Toronto were close behind in fourth and fifth.

Hopeful of landing tickets to a Taylor Swift ticket in 2025? Online sportsbook Betway have offered 10/1 for her to announce a new tour this year.
