Manchester City vs Real Madrid (Tuesday 20:00)
Manchester City and Real Madrid were right at the top of the ante-post UEFA Champions League betting, so it is a major shock to see the European powerhouses face off in the play-off round.
City scraped into the top 24, coming from behind to beat Club Brugge 3-1 on matchday eight, and they look vulnerable favourites against the European champions.
Pep Guardiola’s men have won seven of their last 10 games in all competitions, but they were outclassed in their two toughest fixtures during that run.
City let slip a 2-0 lead to lose 4-2 away to Paris Saint-Germain and capitulated in the second half of their 5-1 Premier League defeat at Arsenal.
Those displays do not bode well for their meeting with Real, who appeal at 11/10 with the draw no bet at the Etihad Stadium.
Veteran boss Carlo Ancelotti is still missing several injured defenders, but Real have successfully integrated summer signing Kylian Mbappe into their attacking unit and the France forward, along with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, could silence the home crowd on Tuesday.
Feyenoord vs AC Milan (Wednesday 20:00)
Feyenoord conceded 21 goals in eight league matches – seven more than any other club who qualified for the knockout stages – and their defence may well be exposed by AC Milan on Wednesday.
The Dutch side beat Bayern Munich 3-0 in their last UEFA Champions League home fixture, but allowed the German giants 30 shots.
Feyenoord were then hammered 6-1 at Lille on matchday eight, having already been beaten 4-0 at home by Bayer Leverkusen and 3-1 by Salzburg, who lost their other seven games in the competition.
Milan dropped out of the top eight after a shock 2-1 loss at Dinamo Zagreb, where they were reduced to 10 men in the first half, but they had won their previous five European games.
Both teams scored in four of those victories and another entertaining Milan win is an attractive price at 3/1.
Monaco vs Benfica (Wednesday 20:00)
Another high-scoring encounter could be on the cards when Monaco host Benfica in Wednesday’s first leg.
Benfica won 3-2 on their league phase trip to Monaco, scoring two late goals after home centre-back Wilfried Singo was sent off.
They kept a rare clean sheet in a 2-0 win at Juventus on matchday eight, but lost 5-4 to Barcelona in their previous Champions League game and have conceded seven goals in their last three Primeira Liga outings.
Monaco, beaten 4-1 by PSG in Ligue 1 last week, defeated Rennes 3-2 and Auxerre 4-2 in their last two home matches, so over 3.5 goals – a winning bet in seven of Benfica’s last 11 Champions League games – appeals at odds of 17/10.
