You can catch four-time GRAMMY winners Alabama Shakes at Fontainebleau soon, as the critically acclaimed group will play their BleauLive Theater this summer. Dates for the North American tour were recently announced and included Las Vegas on Saturday August 9th of this year, with a special guest appearance from Shannon & The Clams.
This tour marks Alabama Shakes’ first live performances since their 2017 set at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Québec, which Montreal’s The Gazette described as “mesmerizing, intoxicating, and entirely authentic.” Lead guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell have been in the studio, collaborating with longtime producer Shawn Everett on new material.
They have also teamed up with PLUS1, meaning that one dollar from each Alabama Shakes at Fontainebleau ticket sold will go to support organizations that promote equity, access, and dignity for all. VIP packages will be available, offering premium seating, exclusive merchandise, and early venue access for a truly elevated concert experience.
“Last year, Heath, Zac, and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes…” said vocalist/guitarist Brittany Howard. “This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been… eight years since we played a show.”
The band skyrocketed to fame in 2012 with their debut album Boys & Girls, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. That album earned multiple GRAMMY nominations and was widely recognized as one of the best of the year, with Rolling Stone naming lead single “Hold On” the #1 Best Song of 2012. Their legacy continued to grow with the groundbreaking Sound & Color, released 10 years ago. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and won GRAMMY Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
Now, you have another opportunity to catch their act in Las Vegas. So if you’re interested in seeing Alabama Shakes at Fontainebleau this August, visit the Fontainebleau entertainment website.
