Former President Donald Trump narrowly leads Vice President Kamala Harris in a poll of likely Nevada voters released on Tuesday.
The CNN poll shows 48% of likely voters back Trump for the presidency. A very close 47% prefer Harris.
The numbers are so close that the results are within the poll’s margin of error.
Breakdown of Poll
The poll also revealed that Trump appears to be getting closer to equal support among Nevada women. Of those women questioned, 51% support Harris, while 46% support Trump.
In addition, Trump leads Harris among white men, 56% to 41%. He also leads white women 54% to 42%.
Hispanic likely voters in Nevada are almost even, given that 48% support Harris and 47% Trump. Both Trump’s and Harris’s campaigns appear to be actively seeking support from Nevada’s Hispanic voters. Hispanics and Latinos of any race are about 28.3% of Nevada’s population, according to 2020 Census results. Some 20% of Nevada’s registered voters are Latino.
On the other hand, for Nevada’s likely voters who are younger than 35, 53% back Harris and 39% favor Trump.
In Nevada, 46% of independent likely voters support Harris compared to 43% backing Trump.
Trump is preferred to deal with immigration, the economy, and foreign policy. But Harris is favored to deal with abortion, according to the poll.
In addition, 42% of those questioned already voted.
Those taking part in the poll were questioned by phone or online between October 21 and 26. Some 683 registered voters participated.
The margin of error is 4.6 points. The poll was conducted by SSRS.
Sportsbooks Weigh In
When considering betting circles, Trump was 62% to win on Kalshi on Monday and 66% on Polymarket.
In Canada, OLG’s Proline reports that 52% of money is on Trump, 35% of money is on Harris and the rest is split among other candidates.
BetVictor has Trump at -188, Harris at +150. BetMGM has Trump at -189, Harris at +150. Proline has Trump at -182, and Harris at +145. FanDuel Canada has it Trump -196, Harris +158, according to a Casino.org report on Tuesday.
Harris and Trump are planning to show up in Nevada’s Clark County on Thursday, Halloween, for campaign stops.
Trump will appear at Lee’s Family Forum at 3:30 p.m. Harris will speak at an as yet undisclosed location in Las Vegas between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Maná, a Mexican pop band, will perform at her rally.
Nevada is seen as a key swing state so both candidates have made campaigning in the state a priority.
Election Day is on Tuesday, November 5. Many voters are casting ballots in the weeks before the election.
