Philadelphia Union midfielder Jeremy Rafanello on Wednesday agreed to terms on a contract through the 2026 season.
Financial terms were not disclosed by the Union, who hold options on Rafanello’s deal for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
Rafanello, 24, has made 10 appearances (four starts) for Philadelphia this season. He recorded his lone point with an assist in the Union’s 4-3 loss to FC Cincinnati on June 19.
Rafanello also played 12 minutes off the bench in one match last season.
“In his two seasons with the Union, Jeremy has remained dedicated to his growth and development as a player,” said Ernst Tanner, the Union sporting director.
“He has stepped up in pivotal matches and remains ready when called upon. His increased minutes on field this season are a testament to his work ethic, and we are happy to be able to reward him with a new contract.”
