Midlothian (Texas) three-star offensive guard Nelson McGuire was in College Station this weekend to see the Texas A&M Aggies advance to 5-1 with a dominating victory over No. 9 Missouri.
The unofficial visit was enough for McGuire, who has now announced his commitment to the Aggies.
McGuire, 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, is the sixth offensive lineman in the 2025 class for Mike Elko.
He chooses the Aggies over more than 20 offers in Clemson, USC, Florida, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Texas Tech, and others.
After the game on Saturday, in which the Aggies beat Missouri 41-10, McGuire commented to Rivals on his experience.
“The atmosphere and energy was crazy,” he said.
McGuire projects to play on the interior of the offensive line, even at an impressive 6-foot-5, 290-pounds. On film, McGuire is a road grader, using a strong lower half and ability to move defenders off their spot with ease.
Is best utilized in run game at this point in his development, but has athleticism to refine pass blocking skill at the next level.
With McGuire’s addition, Texas A&M’s 2025 class now holds 22 total commitments.
