While the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) Main Events kicked off yesterday evening on PokerStars, there were still plenty of other events going on.
There were still titles to be won, mystery bounties prizes to be claimed and the small matter of SCOOP League points for a certain PokerStars Ambassador looking to avoid the wooden spoon in the inaugural edition of the League.
Nemeth Leads SCOOP 117-H: $5,200 PLO Main Event
It wasn’t just the NLHE Main Events that kicked off yesterday, with three Pot Limit Omaha Main Events also getting underway. Just 20 players remain in SCOOP 117-H: $5,200 PLO Main Event from a field of 91 and it’s packed with some passive online poker stalwarts.
Leading the way is Andras “probirs” Nemeth, who has already won two SCOOP titles this year, including one in PLO. Also through to Day 2 are the likes of nine-time SCOOP champions Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Ole “wizowizo” Schemion, as well as former SCOOP Main Event champion Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi.
Think you’ve got what it takes to swim with the sharks? Late registration is open until the start of Day 2!
