Day 6 of the $1 million guaranteed PokerNews Online Championship at 888poker was a busy one, with five events crowning their worthy champions. Four of those tournament were six-handed mystery bounty events, with the unique Cut to the Chase event being the fifth and final tournament of the evening. Four of the day’s champions hail from Brazil.
The $109 buy-in edition of the Mystery Bounty 6-Max saw 192 players create a $19,200 prize pool, and Brazil’s “betsoares” came away with $3,658 of that sum. The largest mystery bounty weighed in at $2,000, and it was seventh-place finisher “Tttrrx” who pulled this out of the golden envelope before bursting the final table bubble.
“33betwizkid,” who reached a final table on Day 5, finished in sixth for $646 before “Klus76” fell by the wayside in fifth, a finish good for $1,270. Fourth place and $1,586 went to Ukraine’s “konvlo”, with “NightNugg” of the UK busting in third for $2,302.
“betsoares” and “uincom61” battled one-on-one for the right to call themselves a PokerNews Online Championship champion. Eventually, it was “betsoares” who came out on top, and they scooped $3,658 leaving the runner-up to claim a $2,424 consolation prize.

“DOPABR” Cuts to the Chase and Becomes a Champion
The Cut to the Chase tournament saw variable blind levels, which increased as the event progressed. At the end of the day, it was “DOPABR” who adapted to the changing conditions the best, and they turned their $11 investment into a $448 prize.
Blind levels started at five minutes while late registration was open before lengthening to six minutes until the bubble burst. Those blind levels increased to eight minutes until the final table was set, then extended to 12 minutes until the champion was crowned.
Five of the final table walked away with three-figure prizes for their $11 buy-in. “LadyLuck90” ($119), “Babychill377” ($164), and “Lavraaa” ($228) were three of those big winners, as were runner-up “shaormastyle” ($320) and our worthy champion.

Day 7 of the PokerNews Online Championship at 888poker sees another four events take place. Three DeepStack PKO‘s with buy-ins of $11, $55, and $109 are sure to attract some incredible players, as is the $11 buy-in PLO Mystery Bounty.
