Ohio’s Hollywood Casino Toledo reopened Thursday afternoon after a temporary closure. City crews were forced to stop the flow of water to the gaming property while they repaired a water leak.
The leak took place on a main water line on Miami Street causing Toledo workers to halt the flow of water to the casino at 5 a.m. Thursday, according to Ohio TV station WTVG.
The water line repairs were completed by 2 p.m. Thursday, three hours earlier than expected.
The earlier finish was due to “the hard work from the City of Toledo,” according to a Facebook post from the casino. Because of the earlier completion time, slot machines and table games were back in use by 2 p.m.
One casino restaurant, Take 2 Grill, reopened at 2 p.m., too, according to the Toledo Blade newspaper.
Three other restaurants at the gaming property are scheduled to resume operations at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the casino posted when announcing the closure to customers who couldn’t enter the complex. “We look forward to seeing you when we reopen…”
The 125,000-square-foot casino operated by Penn Entertainment has 2,002 slot machines, 60 table games, and 20 poker tables.
