Four-star DE Zavion Griffin-Haynes is one of the top EDGE defenders in the Rivals250 for the 2026 recruiting class.
After reopening his recruitment after a stellar junior season for Rolesville (N.C.) High School, Griffin-Haynes has a pair of big visits on deck.
Griffin-Haynes, the No. 9-ranked defensive end in the Rivals250 in next year’s recruiting cycle, has visits locked in back to Florida State and up to Notre Dame, he tells Rivals.
After making a visit to Florida State last summer, Griffin-Haynes is scheduled to return back to Tallahassee on January 18. The four-star defensive end is originally from Florida and has been high on the Seminoles throughout his recruitment.
Griffin-Haynes, the No. 152 overall recruit in the Rivals250, is set to make his first trip up to South Bend to check out the Irish on January 25. Notre Dame, which has advanced to the Final Four of the College Football Playoff, put an offer on the table for the blue-chip EDGE defender one week after backing off his early verbal pledge in-state to North Carolina.
Ohio State and Georgia are two more contenders squarely in the mix with Griffin-Haynes moving into the off-season for the dynamic pass-rusher.
