Nottingham Forest v Ipswich (15:00)
Fans of Nottingham Forest enjoyed the early part of the season, with their team challenging for pole position in the table, but most of their best work was done on the road. Forest have been less potent at the City Ground and a low-scoring encounter with Ipswich seems on the cards. Two goals or fewer can be expected.
Forest have scored only seven goals in their six Premier League home games this term, winning just two matches. Crushing defeats to Newcastle and Arsenal in Forest’s last two fixtures have dented confidence. Ipswich should arrive looking for a point and a stalemate could ensue.
Wolves v Bournemouth (15:00)
Wolves spent much of the season rooted to the bottom of the table, but a four-match unbeaten run has moved the West Midlands side closer to safety, and they can be fancied to continue their resurgence against Bournemouth.
The Molineux masses know the importance of this fixture – a victory would put Wolves only three points behind Bournemouth in the table. The Cherries are getting sucked into the relegation mire, having lost to Brentford and Brighton this month. Wolves can make it three wins on the trot.
Brentford v Leicester (15:00)
Brentford fans have been treated to some thrilling action at the Gtech Community Stadium this season. The Bees have scored more home goals than any other side in the Premier League, filling the onion bag 18 times in their six outings in front of their adoring followers.
Many assumed the loss of Ivan Toney would diminish Brentford’s attacking menace, but the England forward has been quickly forgotten. Thomas Frank’s side have scored 13 goals in their last four home games. Leicester’s away games have been full of goals this season, so the chances of four or more strikes in this game seems high.
West Ham v Arsenal (17:30)
Arsenal are nine points behind Liverpool in the title race and the Gunners are under huge pressure ahead of their trip to West Ham. Arsenal have been beaten by Bournemouth and Newcastle in recent away days, and a hat-trick of road-trip disasters seems entirely feasible on Saturday evening.
West Ham were excellent in beating Newcastle 2-0 at St James’ Park on Monday night and self-belief has flooded back into the Hammers’ veins. Getting West Ham and the draw on your side at 17/10 seems a value wager.
