Arsenal vs Southampton (3pm)
Arsenal have got through a very tricky fixture list, with six games in 16 days, and still remain unbeaten in all competitions.
A win in the North London derby was followed by a draw at Atalanta in the Champions League, before a dramatic 2-2 scoreline with Manchester City.
A crushing 5-1 EFL Cup win over Bolton was followed by a 4-2 victory over Leicester and an impressive 2-0 success over Paris Saint-Germain.
Mikel Arteta’s men have conceded just four goals in their last six Premier League home games and have five clean sheets to their name this season.
In stark contrast, Southampton have lost all three of their away games since winning promotion back to the Premier League and are the lowest scorers in the division, with just three goals.
Brentford vs Wolves (3pm)
Six points separate Brentford and Wolves going into Saturday’s meeting, with the visitors still seeking their first league win of the season.
Despite sitting bottom, performances have been better than results suggest for Wolves, with the fixture computer having been harsh to Gary O’Neil’s men.
Wanderers have already faced Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton, Aston Villa and Liverpool in their first six league games and have just one point to their name.
That point came in a decent draw at Nottingham Forest and O’Neil will feel this is a game they can target, especially with Brentford’s attacking issues.
The Bees have conceded in each of their first six top-flight matches and have won just one of their last five in the league.
Leicester v Bournemouth (3pm)
Saturday’s clash at the King Power Stadium looks likely to provide goals, with both teams involved in high-scoring affairs last week.
Leicester fought hard but eventually lost 4-2 at Arsenal, while Bournemouth ran out 3-1 victors at home to Southampton.
The first goal against Saints was the most significant for Andoni Iraola’s men, with Evanilson bagging his first for the club since his summer move from Porto.
A lot of pressure has been placed on the Brazilian to replace the goals lost with the sale of Dominic Solanke to Spurs. Performances had been good but his debut strike should help his confidence.
Everton vs Newcastle (5.30pm)
It took six matches, but Everton finally ended their wait for a first league win with a 2-1 comeback success over Crystal Palace last weekend.
It had been coming, with Sean Dyche’s men holding two-goal leads against both Bournemouth and Aston Villa before conspiring to lose those games.
They now face a Newcastle side that went unbeaten in the first four games, but have collected just one point from their last two matches.
One of those was a draw against the champions, but they have been a different team on the road compared to on home soil.
Everton won this fixture 3-1 last season and, boosted by the return of Jarrad Branthwaite, they could make it back-to-back victories on Saturday evening.
