Alex Jack’s acca for the first Saturday of the Premier League season includes wins for Liverpool and Arsenal.
The dust has settled on a hectic few months of international action, and after the Football League got back underway last week, it’s the turn of the Premier League to burst back into action after the summer break.
No less than 10 matches will take place over the weekend and what better way to blow off the cobwebs than by getting stuck into a juicy fourfold that pays out at just under 5/1.

Ipswich vs Liverpool (12:30)
Ipswich are back in the big time after a 22-year exile but the Portman Road party could quickly go flat with this visit from Liverpool.
The Tractor Boys were in top gear for most of last season as they sealed automatic promotion behind champions Leicester while scoring a league high 92 goals.
Kieran McKenna’s men love to play on the front foot but that could be their undoing against a Reds outfit starting competitive life without Jurgen Klopp in the dugout.
New boss Arne Slot will preach a more patient style of play and that could help his side pick off an Ipswich side who could get carried away in the fervent atmosphere of their Suffolk stronghold.
A lively contest is expected but it’s likely Liverpool will prove too strong.
Arsenal vs Wolves (15:00)
Arsenal finished runners-up behind Manchester City for the second season running but they are well fancied to go one better this term and the Gunners can kick off the new campaign with a win over Wolves.
The north London side have a fantastic recent record against the Molineux men having won the last six league meetings, and both contests last season fell the way of Mikel Arteta’s side.
Wanderers have failed to score in four of their last six clashes with the Gunners and a comfortable home win looks likely at the Emirates on Saturday.
Newcastle vs Southampton (15:00)
Southampton finished only fifth in the Championship last season and their promotion as play-off winners may mean they are underprepared for their top-flight return.
It’s hard to see anything other than a season of struggle at St Mary’s in the 2024/25 campaign and that could begin with this tricky trip to Newcastle.
The Magpies fell short of where they wanted to be last season, and their first foray into the Champions League was a short one.
A seventh-placed finish and Manchester United winning the FA Cup means there are no European distractions for Eddie Howe’s men this season and they will be desperate to improve on last season’s outcome.
Whether they do that remains to be seen, but they should be able to make a winning start on Saturday.
West Ham vs Aston Villa (17:30)
Both sides have recruited well over the summer but Aston Villa look to have the more settled side and they could have the edge against West Ham in what looks a tasty encounter.
Julen Lopetegui will look to tighten up the Hammers but he is also having to integrate six new signings into a side who finished ninth last term.
Villa, having sealed Champions League football for this season, have chosen to make small adjustments as opposed to wholesale changes and that settled format suggests they can take advantage of a West Ham team who may be a work in progress for a few more weeks.
