Pacheco Jams & Yokosawa Bluffs
In an early hand, Pacheco straddled to $800 and the entire table called. It was Pacheco’s option and he looked down at the J♠J♣ before moving all in for $76,600. That did the trick as one-by-one his opponents all folded.
In the next hand, Elamawy raised to $2,000 with the 8♣7♥ in early position and Tilly called from the cutoff with the A♥6♣. Yokosawa came along from the button with the 9♦8♦, Pacheco did the same from the big blind with the 5♦4♠, and it was four-way action to a flop of 3♥7♣10♥.
Pacheco checked his gutshot and Elamawy continued for $3,100 with his pair of sevens. Tilly folded, Yokosawa called with an open-ended straight draw, and Pacheco got out of the way. The 4♦ turn saw Yokosawa call a bet of $7,000 from Elamawy, and that brought about the 2♥ on the river.
Elamawy slowed down with a check and Yokosawa, who missed his draw, took a stab at the pot by betting $35,000 into the $28,900 pot. Elamawy quickly folded and Yokosawa showed the bluff.
Gin Card for Gavri
With the straddle on by Steven, Elamawy opened for $2,000 under the gun with the J♠8♠ and Gavri three-bet to $7,200 with the A♥5♥ on the button. Steven looked down at the A♠J♦ in the straddle and called the additional $6,400, and that prompted Elamawy to call to make it three-way action to a flop of 3♥8♣6♣.
All three players checked and the 4♥ turn appeared on the turn. Steven bet $17,000, Elamawy called with top pair, and Gavri did the same with his straight flush draw. The 7♠ river saw Steven bluff to the tune of $54,000 and Elamawy folded.
Gavri made an eight-high straight and moved all in for $66,100 total and Steven really had no choice but to fold.
“I made a straight,” Gavri said before pulling in the $193,800 pot.
Gavri Gives It Up
With the straddle on, Steven raised to $4,000 under the gun holding the A♣K♦ and Tilly called from the button with the K♠3♠.
Gavri then three-bet to $22,000 with the J♥J♦ in the big blind, Robl folded the straddle, and Steven four-bet to $77,000.
Gavri paused for a few beats and then released his hand.
Tilly Takes on Robl
Robl opened for $2,000 with the Q♥Q♦ and Steven called next to act holding the A♠3♠. Elamawy came along with the K♣3♣ and Tilly did the same with the K♠J♠ from the small blind. Gavri then put in an additional $1,200 from the straddle with the 4♠2♠ and it was five-way action to a flop of 5♥7♣J♦.
Tilly led out for $6,000 with top pair and action folded to Robl, who raised to $16,000. Both Steven and Elamawy got out of the way, Tilly called, and it was heads-up to the 4♠ turn.
Tilly check-called a bet of $25,000 and the 5♦ paired the board on the river. Tilly checked and Robl fired out $50,000. Tilly began her table talk and that got Robl to offer to show her if she guessed one of his hole cards exactly.
She guessed the jack of clubs and that prompted Robl to jokingly look back at his hand. Eventually, Tilly did call only to see Robl roll over the overpair and claim the $192,900 pot.
“Robl’ed,” Tilly jokingly shouted. “I’m so mad!”
Ladies No Good for Elamawy
Tilly raised to $1,200 with the A♥4♥ and Robl called with the [109s] on the button. Steven called from the small blind with the 9♣2♣ before Elamawy three-bet to $10,400 with the Q♠Q♦ in the big blind.
Tilly called, the other two players folded, and it was heads-up action to the 4♣3♦A♦ flop. Elamawy checked his queens and called when Tilly, who flopped two pair, bet $10,000. The 6♠ turn changed nothing and Elamawy checked for a second time.
Tilly bet again, this time $20,000, and Elamawy called to see the 10♦ river. With three diamonds on board action went check-check and Tilly won a pot worth $83,700.
