produced an irresistible late burst to land the Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh and can now make the breakthrough in Group 1 company. Having shaped well on his first two starts for Charlie Hills, the Profitable colt took things to another level when collaring Regional close home in that Group 2 last month and the runner-up certainly didn’t let the form down on the opening day here. Stall 1 isn’t ideal but Jamie Spencer will surely go left immediately on exiting the stalls and with just fourteen runners he ought to be able to secure a reasonably clear passage through.

looks to have a great chance of providing Sheila Lavery and Robbie Colgan with a breakthrough Royal Ascot win. A son of the same connections’ Group 2 winning filly Viztoria, he had already shown plenty of ability at a decent level before getting off the mark in a maiden at Cork in July of 2023.
Gelded after disappointing on his only subsequent start last term, he looked a completely different proposition on his recent reappearance in a premier handicap at the Curragh. Travelling powerfully throughout, he was ultimately given a bit too much to do but in being beaten just 3/4 length he probably had a near perfect warm-up for this test. The fact that he has already done plenty of travelling is also a plus and he gives the impression he can go a lot higher than a mark of 98.
