Opera Singer is understandably a warm order and deserves major respect after finishing a respectable third on her belated reappearance in the Irish 1000 Guineas, an outing she reportedly needed badly. However preference here is for RAMATUELLE

, a very smart juvenile last season herself who filled the same position in the opening fillies classic at Newmarket after being sent for home much earlier than ideal. Oisin Murphy, who partners the French raider for the first time, should be able to track the Ballydoyle favourite from her draw in stall one and may well be able to use his mount’s turn of foot to pounce in the home straight.

goes from strength to strength and there could be even more improvement in the pipeline now he steps up again in distance. The likeable six year-old did very well to overhaul Deakin, who reopposes here, after that rival got first run at the Curragh last time and the third home Saturn has already gone on to boost the form by landing a premier handicap himself. Plenty has been spoken and written about a low draw being a potential negative but hopefully Colin Keane will ride his father’s charge closer to the pace this time to counter any fears on that score.

ZAYNAB

could probably have done with slightly easier ground in an ideal world but nevertheless looks worth sticking with as she bids to continue her climb up the ranks. A maiden winner at the Curragh in April, the half-sister to the same connections’ smart jumper Zanahiyr duly followed up on her handicap debut at Irish flat headquarters last month ,where she once again impressed with her finishing effort. She did at least cope effectively with good ground on that occasion and gives the impression there could be plenty more to come, with that form already working out well.
