Who won yesterday ipl match between SRH vs DC? At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 10 wickets.
The explosive hitting of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma ruled the day. In addition, the SRH batting is one of the most feared in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The SRH batsmen reached their goal of 166 runs in 9.4 overs.

Fireworks in the powerplay
SRH’s have generally dominated all tournaments’ powerplay. SRH got 107 runs during the power play, which pretty much won the game for them.
Whereas, the LSG bowlers had no room for mistake because the left-handed opening pair was determined to win the day.
Furthermore, they only scored eight runs in the first over is what really blows my mind. They were at their best in the second over, when Abhishek hit four fours off of Yash Thakur.
Head got into the game when K. Gowtham came on to bowl the third and got 22 runs, with three sixes and a four. Because of this, KL Rahul had to bring in Ravi Bishnoi in the fourth over.
Nonetheless, this did not stop SRH, though, as the runs kept coming in easily. Head kept up that pace when Naveen-ul-Haq came on for the fifth over and quickly reached 50 off of 16 balls. That over also scored 23.
When it was their turn to bat, Thakur bowled the last over.
Taking SRH past their 100.
Many people would have thought that LSG would get some relief when the field grew. Head hit a six over mid-wicket with the first ball of the seventh over, so that wasn’t true. After that, Abhishek hit a six over long-on to reach fifty.
Here is how you can calculate the follow-on in test cricket.
Lines kept moving from both ends.
Head and Abhishek were playing like they had to reach the goal in 10 overs, so it didn’t matter who came on to bowl. When Abhishek hit Thakur over cover for a big six, the game was over. Head was still not out after 30 balls, with 89 runs, and Abhishek was out after 28 balls, with 75 runs. There were up to 16 fours and 14 sixes in the SRH innings.
Unfortunately, the LSG bowlers had a terrible day, as shown by their bowling statistics.
Earlier, SRH’s bowlers did a good job of holding LSG to 165 runs by regularly bowling out their top order. LSG only made that score because Ayush Badoni (55 not out off 30 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (48 not out of 26 balls) worked well together. The last 10 overs of their innings were controlled by the 99-run stand that they didn’t lose.
During his first three overs, Bhuveshwar Kumar only let seven runs score and got rid of Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis. At the end of the powerplay, the score was 27 for 2. This made it clear. Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul helped LSG get back on track.
In the eighth over, Pandya changed speeds when he went after Jaydev Unadkat and hit two sixes. LSG was still getting less than a run every ball. However, things got even worse when Rahul was out for 29 after hitting Pat Cummins’ ball deep into the field. Pandya was out for 24 in the 12th over. That’s when Badoni and Pooran met.

Badoni helped the LSG innings come to life.
Badoni began the batting and hit three fours before T Natarajan came in for the 14th over. It was much needed to get going after the 16-run over. Since the 14th over, the two hitters have scored more than 10 runs in every over except Bhuvneshwar’s last one, which only scored five runs. This helped LSG.
After a successful run of two for 12, which seemed like a crazy number, Bhuvneshwar ended the game.
Before the last over, Badoni got to fifty, and it only took him 28 balls to get there. The LSG scored 34 runs in the last two overs, with 19 runs coming off of Cummins’s last ball. LSG went up to 165 because of this.
When you think about how hard they worked in the first 10, their comeback was truly impressive and would have given them hope going into the defense.
