Ethan “Rampage” Yau has been on a downswing in recent months, but a massive hand against Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot during Friday night’s Hustler Casino Live stream might have him headed back in the right direction.
The hand in question, which led to a $473,000 pot, occurred at around 10 p.m. PT, about five hours into the $50/$100 no-limit hold’em cash game.
Rampage Poker Wins Three-Way Cooler
Hustle Casino Live’s X account teased a “huge hand coming up soon” about an hour before the hand in question aired. When it did air, Dr. P began the action by raising to $300 from the hijack with Q♠Q♦ before Rampage three-bet to $1,200 on the button with K♠K♣. Airball, in the small blind with A♣K♦, just called, which led Dr. P to move all in for $25,875.
Rampage, who began the hand with over $225,000, opted to just call the bet. Airball, whose “Big Slick” was a bit under-repped, moved all in with twice Rampage’s stack. The poker vlogger snap-called, creating a pot of $473,475.
All three players agreed to run the board out twice, and the first one came 8♥J♣9♣4♥8♣, ensuring Rampage would win at least half the pot, and then he’d scoop the entire pot after 9♠3♠9♥7♠10♥ made up the second board.
Nik Airball, who has been up and down on live-streams in recent months, found himself stuck around $200,000 following the cooler hand against Rampage. He then called for the chip runner to give him another $1 million in chips, bringing his stack to nearly $1.3 million.
At the time of publishing, Rampage was far and away the biggest winner on the session, up around $275,000. Airball was easily the biggest loser in the game.
For Rampage, it’s been a rough few months, starting in December with the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. Last month, he lost nearly $500,000 during a Hustler Casino Live session and joked about how he might have to soon return to the $1/$3 streets, the biggest loss of his poker career.
The popular poker vlogger won’t have to worry about going back to the low-stakes grind after winning that monster pot against Nik Airball.
