Casino Player Could Face Charges
A man who allegedly left a five-year-old in a vehicle at Pennsylvania’s Presque Isle Downs and Casino recently was banned from the state’s gaming properties and could face criminal charges.
The unidentified man’s name was placed on the state’s involuntary exclusion list. He will not be able to return to the Erie, Pa., casino or other gaming facilities in the state after a ruling by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
The five-year-old was alone in a car while the man spent close to a half hour inside the casino trying his luck on table games, according to Pennsylvania TV station WICU.
The outside temperature while the kid was in the car was 85 degrees. No word if the child was injured from the heat.
The PGCB prohibits the leaving of children in vehicles unattended at casinos while adults enter a gaming property.
“It creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children,” according to the PGCB.
