Yeongjong Island’s Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort has announced its achievement of a five-star hotel rating from the Korean Hotel Rating System, administered by the Korea Tourism Association (KTA).
The assessment covered various criteria such as facility quality, hygiene, and service standards. This recognition, the highest in the Korean system, underscores the resort’s commitment to excellence in luxury hospitality, according to Mohegan INSPIRE.
Situated against the backdrop of Yeongjong Island in Incheon, Mohegan INSPIRE has launched a soft opening phase. The resort features three themed hotel towers – Forest Tower, Sun Tower, and Ocean Tower – each architecturally mirroring the island’s natural beauty.
Comprising 1,275 rooms, ranging from deluxe accommodations to villa suites, the resort also offers guest lounges, a premium spa, a fitness center, and an indoor pool.
Mohegan’s CEO, Ray Pineault, expressed his satisfaction with the achievement, stating: “This five-star rating for Mohegan INSPIRE is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence and our commitment to providing world-class experiences. This milestone reflects our team’s dedication to upholding the highest standards in the industry, and it reinforces our position as a leader in global entertainment and hospitality.”

The resort’s culinary offerings, a cornerstone for hotel ratings, include a diverse range of international concepts, ranging from the Eurasian Michael Jordan Steak House and MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill to Minagi, a contemporary Japanese restaurant, and Hong Pan, a Chinese dining venue.
Additional options include Brasserie 1783, specializing in European-inspired fare, Garden Farm Café with a farm-to-table concept, and Chef’s Kitchen, a buffet restaurant with an open kitchen concept. The Aurora Bar on Aurora Street provides visitors with various cocktails while enjoying performances, while the Horizon Lounge, located in the Main Lobby between Forest and Sun Tower, offers guests snacks and crafty beverages.
Chen Si, President of Mohegan INSPIRE, said: “I am delighted that INSPIRE’s hotel facility has officially achieved a five-star rating, and I would like to thank our team for their hard work in all areas, including facility, hospitality and operations management.”
“What incredible momentum going into this first quarter celebrating the casino’s grand opening – that’s how Mohegan continually sets the standard for integrated resorts that create unforgettable experiences.”
Looking ahead, INSPIRE is set to unveil its Phase 1A facilities in mid-2024. Early 2024 will witness the grand opening of INSPIRE Mall, a hub fusing shopping, cuisine and attractions, alongside an exclusive casino tailored for international visitors.
In the spring, INSPIRE will introduce an outdoor experiential space designed for all ages. An international food court will also debut alongside what the resort calls “the country’s largest immersive content exhibition hall” and an indoor children’s playground.
