Bet365 has extended its reach in the United States, marking its presence in Louisiana with the launch of its sportsbook offering. This expansion allows players in the Pelican State to access the Bet365 website or utilize the sportsbook app to engage in betting across a spectrum of sporting events, including major league competitions like the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB.
The sportsbook also offers the option for bettors to view live streams of select events while placing their wagers.
This expansion marks Bet365’s seventh US jurisdiction, adding Louisiana to its existing operational states of Colorado, Iowa, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia.
“Celebrated for its passionate culture and festive spirit, we are thrilled to bring bet365 to Louisiana,” expressed a Bet365 spokesperson. “Now eligible customers from Shreveport to the Big Easy can enjoy our renowned products like amazing bet boosts, the fastest in-game experience, and unique same-game parlays.”
Bet365’s arrival in Louisiana coincides with a milestone moment for the Pelican State’s betting landscape. The month of October witnessed record-breaking figures in both sports betting handle and revenue.
Sports enthusiasts in Louisiana collectively placed $308.6 million in wagers during the month. Of this, $276.2 million was attributed to online betting, with the remaining $32.4 million placed at physical sportsbooks.
Simultaneously, gross revenue soared to $43.3 million, marking a significant 63.5% year-on-year increase. The bulk of this revenue—$40.1 million—was generated from online betting, while retail betting contributed $4.4 million. Adjusted revenue, factoring in promotional bets, stood at $42.5 million.
