The SBC Summit Latinoamérica wrapped up another successful edition, held from October 31 to November 2. The conference attracted a record attendance of 2,500 senior executives, focused on the Latin American market, marking a 150% increase from the previous year.
Post-event surveys highlighted that 80% of attendees were highly satisfied, particularly praising the attention to detail and quality for which SBC is known. The event brought together representatives from 234 regional and global operators, as well as affiliates, suppliers, game developers, media and sports teams, and 11 regulatory bodies.
The exhibition area allowed attendees to explore emerging technologies and innovative services, with over 100 exhibitors and sponsors, marking a 75% increase over last year’s event. Post-event surveys revealed that 90.9% of exhibitors intend to return in 2024.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC said: “SBC Summit Latinoamérica 2023 has been truly exceptional, and I want to extend my gratitude to all who attended and contributed to this success.
“The growth we’ve witnessed over the past three years for this event is remarkable, and it’s inspiring to see it evolve alongside such a promising and dynamic region. With the post-event survey indicating that the vast majority of attendees are already inclined to return in 2024, we are brainstorming ways to make the 2024 edition even better!”
Roundtable sessions were a highlight, providing specialized and focused discussions, with particular attention to the Brazil-focused roundtable, which saw such high demand that it required additional seating and tables.
Over 150 industry experts participated in 48 distinct panels across three dedicated stages. Nearly half of the speakers were high-level executives, representing a variety of leading operators and affiliate brands. Among the attendees were Gonzalo Perez (Apuesta Total), JD Duarte (Betcris), Fellipe Fraga (EstrelaBet), Zeno Ossko (BetWarrior), Ida Lopez (IPJyC de Mendoza), and Andre Gelfi (Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming).
The conference highlighted regulatory transitions in key countries like Brazil, with a promise to focus even more on this theme next year. Regulators included Cristina Romero (Partner, Loyra), Luiz Felipe Maia (Partner, Maia Yoshiyasu Advogados), Tomas Enrique Garcia Botta (Socio, MF Estudio Abogados), Carlos Baeza Guíñez (Founder, Carlos Baeza & CIA Abogados), Jaime Rivera Emmanuelli (Regulator, Puerto Rico Gaming Commission), Jeannie Hovland (Vice Chair/Director of NIGC Office of Self Regulation National Indian Gaming Commission), and others.
Xabier Maribona, CEO of Grupo Retabet, highlighted: “SBC Latinoamérica has once again proved to be an excellent event for updates on the reality of our sector in this great set of emerging markets. It was very interesting to have new regulatory details about countries like Chile, Ecuador, Brazil or Peru and participate in debates about already consolidated countries like Colombia or Mexico.

Networking events offered opportunities for attendees to make connections, including the Global Gaming Women’s Breakfast and the Tribal Gaming Women’s Breakfast, as well as a Halloween party at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
