The North American Championship of Online Poker (NACOOP) is underway on PokerStars and players throughout Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ontario are on the road to their chance to win a Vegas Gold Pass and a trip to the Oracle Red Bull Racing Fan Experience at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The USCOOP kicked off the first four tournaments in a slate that promises $3 million in guarantees from September 15-October 2. Players in the merged market of Michigan and New Jersey have 89 tournaments to choose from throughout USCOOP with buy-ins from $10-$2,500.
Pennsylvania players jumped into the action, as well, with the first four PACOOP tournaments in a schedule that offers $2.5 million in guarantees.
PokerNews will be on hand to provide live coverage of the big Sunday events, up to and including the two-day Main Event that starts on October 1. The Main Event winners will be among the first to pick up a Vegas Gold Pass, which will send them to NAPT Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The full package is worth $20,030, and it includes:

Four Winners on Opening Day of PACOOP
The Pennsylvania series kicked off with four different warm up tournaments, headlined by the $100 Turbo Warm Up. Together with the $20 Mini Turbo Warm Up, both events drew a combined 1,000 entries to kick off the series. It was “werd3739” with a victory over a field of 393 entries in the $100 opener, which yielded an impressive prize pool of $36,077.

2023 PACOOP Winners
In the $20 Mini Turbo Warm Up, “CleggsonGG” beat a field of 777 entries to win $2,546. “CleggsonGG” is a regular fixture in the results on PokerStars PA, including a recent victory in May’s Half Million Dollar Sunday Special over a field of 1,205 for $39,316.
Elsewhere on the opening night schedule, “Wentzfather2” won the $50 8-Game Warmup for $1,697, while “NellieKane” blitzed their way to a win in the $30 Hyper Turbo Warm Up for $1,978.

USCOOP Off to the Races in Michigan and New Jersey
The shared equity states enjoyed a great opening turnout, as well, with the two Turbo Warm Ups combining to draw over 1,500 entries. The $100 version attracted 499 players for a prize pool of $45,808, the lion’s share of which went to “Jkin231” for the victory. The $20 Mini Turbo Warm Up drew 1,056 to break the 1K mark and offer $19,219 to the top finishers.

Meanwhile, “TheScreamMask” came to a final-two deal with “blurryctfolds” to take the top prize in the $30 Hyper Turbo Warm Up.
